...I need cheering up!!

I am a great advocate of paying somebody a compliment when its due. Its amazing how a few small words from somebody can have a lasting effect on a person.

My father told me of a time when he was talking to a colleague who was down on his luck with a job. He was offered a job abroad for a few months but wasn't sure to take it up. My father complimented him on his journalistic skills and said he should go for it.

He did, and is still there 30 years later doing very well for himself and often remembers the compliment that he got.

You should always pay somebody a compliment if its genuine!




Ok, I know none of you and I don't deserve any compliments from any of you....so make it up! :P

Paying compliments and encouraging people to do so is so important!

It is amazing how a few short words can have an influence on people!

I used to work with under-privileged teenagers who had a very negative view of adults and rarely, if at all, received a compliment from them.

I made it my business to pay them compliments (were due) and it was amazing to see what it did for them!
