    Arsenal

Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Ramsey, Nasri, Arshavin, Walcott, Van Persie

    Not sure of subs.

    Liverpool

Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Kuyt.

Subs: Doni, Flanagan, Skrtel, Meireles, Spearing, Suarez, Maxi.

Henderson wide in 4-4-2 or in behind with Kuyt right Downing left?

Big big day for Jenkinson and Frimpong.

Pleased Nasri starting too even if my current mood towards him is kill kill kill.

Arsenal bench btw Fabianski, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ryo, Miquel, Chamakh, Lansbury, Bendtner

Despite all their injuries/suspensions, that is a strong looking Arsenal side tbf.

It will be interesting to see how Nasri plays, he will get a terrible reception anyway that's for sure.

    Why isn't Suarez starting

Hmm, Sagna playing left back and Jenkinson playing on the right.

    Makes sense.

Supporting Carroll I'd say. That's quite a strange one alright - surely he's to be utilised wide.

For all the disasters they've had in the last few weeks thats a good Arsenal team.

As long as Suarez is starting it's a plus. It prob won't be 442 really, downing will be in the hole behind suarez, should be good there, he's well able to run at players and can get at the weak Arsenal defence.

Delighted Kelly is back on the first eleven.

Good decision taking Suarez off the starting eleven for this week, provided he does make an appearance. If he's still tired I think he'd be much more effective coming on at the start of the second half, instead of being tired for it, but I do want him on at the very start of the second half.

Lets grab this this game by the ears and smash a few goals past them!

Suarez on the bench, as per the OP.

Big game for Henderson if he gets the central role behind Carroll today. I could see him playing deeper beside Lucas as a CM though and Adam playing further forward like he used to for Blackpool.

    Carroll

    Down
    Adam
    Kuyt

    ----Hend
    Lucas----

Liverpool should be aiming to put Arsenal's fullbacks under pressure, Sagna out of position and Jenkinson very inexperienced.

Liverpool out from 3.0 to 3.5 on betfair. hmm.

It is written in the stars for Nasri to score here.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of reception Nasri gets.

People looking at the Arsenal team and realising its not as bad as had been feared earlier in the week probably.

It shows how deep Arsenals problems are that 2 players who want out are featured,1 playing and 1 on bench....in no way is Nasri in the right frame of mind IMO.

Strange one having Suarez on the bench but as we've all mentioned we need to be careful with him after the Copa America and ensure we don't have another Torres on our hands.

That said, spring him off the bench and Arsenal could shít the pants at the back a bit - well...that's what I'm hoping anyway!

    C'mon the 'pool!!! :)

Would probably prefer to start with Suarez and take him off early than not start and stick him on late.

You should be happy Dublin Gunner. He would have had the run of the park against you lads today.

Of all the options for Liverpool's front 4 surely the one Sky picked is the least likely!

That's ok because most LFC supporters have none for him or his 20 year battle to grow a bit of a moustache.:D

who's the left back for liverpool?

    Sanchez?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,095 ✭✭✭doc_17

He said something along the lines of LFC lost it's soul under "Benitez"....toward the end of his reign....not to open old wounds but I thought the yanks wrecked it more than anyone. i hate that little man. Now he has a platform to get his little digs in.

    Anyway enough of him!

That's what I thought too, I think they have Kuyt & Downing the wrong way round at the very least.

    What a dick.

Club certainly lost it's way under last owners and Hodgson but it has never ever lost its soul
