I think it's very pretty. I quite like the current crop of mercs.

Me too. I would definitely consider a CLA as my next car (more in my budget!!)

    They're tiny inside.

I thought they might be and the boot looks small too. Our A4 is no great shakes in those 2 areas but it's okay for me. The days when having a Zafira was the handiest thing ever are over for me. I might even graduate to a two seater one of these days!!

I'd say snug inside ;) boot space is actually quite decent in the CLA. There's more then you'd expect from looking at the exterior

Had a look at one a couple of months ago. Really liked the look from the outside. Found it very difficult to get into the car, went for an E instead.

Ultimate green Focus RS outside Waterford University Hospital 10 minutes ago. First green one I've seen in the flesh, pretty sure it was the press car from way back when, 09 D 18xxx plate on it.

If we talking about GTS AMG I saw few of them and I'm not the biggest fan of them. Had the same with SLS AMG. The front of those both cars look great but then there is a rear view as well and this is nothing nice. It looks like designer couldn't make decision if he want it look like estate, coupe, sedan or hatchback

Here is two of few I saw:

By the way: Why every sport Mercedes in Ireland is in some boring colour?? Grey or black or white?? In my opinion AMG GTS should be red, yellow or any other eyecatching colour like Black Series CLK63 AMG was.

The R8 badge on the fuel cap is a bit..... 'felt.

I could never put my finger on it and I'm sure they're amazing to drive but R8 has just never done anything for me.

Have to agree, when the original one came out i could never have seen myself buy one over a Gallardo for instance.

I remember being at the Paris motor show in 2008 and a mate of mine, not too up on his cars, asked the Audi guy " Is that the new TT" It was the R8 :p Shame he didn't ask him was it a TDI and walk off muttering about the shiote boot :D

that Solarbeam Yellow on the GTS is near 15,000 euro extra!

I was going to get the 'purple' Northern Lights Violet colour when I got a MB recently but I chickened out and went for Black :) (playing it safe)

Red should never be anywhere near a Merc, ever! Goes like ketchup with lobster.

Not on anything bigger than a c-class anyway

I spotted a rover 75 with a jaguar badge. When I say jag badge I mean the 6 letters in chrome stuck on the boot lid.

Beats any rs4 tdi iv spotted in rarity at least

Nice car, but still think red on Mercs is wrong, even though this is not the worst example and it's a nicer, subdued red. I was thinking more of a Ferrari style red. I can't quite explain it, maybe it's because it's a color of passion, it that should be on something that spits and pops flames out of the exhaust. Mercedes are a bit more sedate than that to my mind...

I have to agree here. I have never thought of Mercs that way (I owned an E200 previously) but yes, red isn't the color for them.
Red is a difficult color for most cars however - it's rare to find a nice "run of the mill" red car.
Ford does a nice red in the new mondeo.

I too tend to subscribe to 'anything but red' for a Mercedes. Perhaps the old R107 SL (a la Bobby Ewing) was the last Merc to look good in red. The last saloon was probably the W123.

    +1

Only colour to have it in.
