I've read the charter and don't see anything that prohibits posting outside links (MODS, if there is, please feel free to remove this post).

Has anyone tried Growth Stimulus Training (GST) - link to discussion below?

    http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121353501

It looks pretty good and I'm considering giving it a go in the new year (after Starting Strength). You'll need to read the first 2-3 pages to get an idea of what it's all about.

Seems to be a squat day, bench day, deadlift day and a pull up day. Am I wrong?

    It looks ok.

    I am totally confused.

I do like Jimmy Cliff though.

Cliffs = cliff notes, cos the thread is really f*cking long

Jelly = you, cos you're jealous that I can communicate with the bb.com'ers in their native language.

With a 4 week cycle of 8s,6s,3s and singles.
    On a 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% or 1rm
And two assistance exercises a session.

    Its not exactly revolutionary.

Me too, on both counts. I wish I could have thought of a different other Cliff than Mr. Richards though.

Mendhi robs off Bill Starr and bastardizes it.

This punter robs off Wendler and bastardizes it.

I'm gonna rob off both of them an mesh it together so it's such a clusterf*ck of stolen awesomness that no-one can figure out where it comes from, and I'll become an internet sensation.

The responses had me confused for a while :D

I tried going to the OP's website and he appears to be trying to sell an eBook for $30 - not a chance I'd buy it as all the information seems to be there in the thread.

Think I might give it a go to see if it gives results in the New Year - gonna stick with Starting Strength until after my hols in November/December.

8-6-3-1, not as snappy as 5-3-1 is it?

    It is simple enough though.

When I finished starting strength, I did what any good Rippetoe follower does. I did Bill Starrs intermediate 5x5, which I liked until my left knee died in an incident unrelated to squatting. Now that I can't squat 3x a week, I am liking this "Westside" lark, inspired by the recent ressurection of Kevs thread.

In fairness, this is a thread of cheap cogging on BB.com passed off as his own IP. Not an entire website of cheap cogging passed off as his own IP.

And Medhi probably first heard about Bill Starr while reading Starting Strength.

It's probably only a matter of time before he has his own website if he's already flogging ebooks.

Probably the best way to avoid awkward questions.... :D

He's training over 10 years. He better be in really good f*cking shape. Pics/stats?

Also, marathonic - it's pretty much the complete opposite to starting strength, so you probably will progress on it. A good rule of thumb is that if you've stalled and minor adjustments to a program aren't helping you progress, do something totally different.

So in your case, it's mostly been high volume sub max lifting, this is low volume, high intensity near maximal effort stuff (from what a quick skim gave me) - so it'd probably work well for ya.
