5 a side footy

Anyone interested in getting the 5 a side football back up and running? I put up a thread in the group but it no one ever checks there anymore. Mondays was the best night the last time we set this up and I was thinking Mondays at 7/8 would be a good time. I think Delta would be a good option again. Its indoor which is probably better with the cold winter evenings hitting us soon. So just post here if your interested and see If we can get this back up running.

Fairly disappointing response. Id say we would have about 10 to play but would need around 15 to run this for the winter.

I can probably get 2/3 bodies aswell but ya Im gonna do that aswell. I think we should be able to get 10 everyweek. Im gonna ring Delta tomorrow and see If a Monday slot is available.

We can all get few surely when we're short but if you commit to play you gotta turn up,it worked out pretty well earlier in the year imo.

I have another fella Alan from the poker forum who will play and I can get prob 2 bodies everyweek.

I never got around to ringing delta this week. I will do it this week and hopefully we can get it going the following Monday.

6pm and 7pm are all full on Mondays (apart from the tennis courts)
8pm is free.

8pm isn't a great time, I'd prefer to go straight from work if possible so 6 or 7.
Are people free any days other than Monday? Any evening would suit me.

I'd prefer Mondays too, a poll should be added and take the vote from there if everyone agrees to it, I think Shano88 and TestTransmission should have more of a say than the rest of us since they are the ones trying to get this up and running.

nah,thats alrite.I'm just helping the game to get moving,I can play either night but Mondays worked well before.

I'll keep maintaining the Social Group for this*, but I'll be taking a back-seat in the organisation of the games themselves this time around. My focus for the next six months is on jujitsu. :cool:

Delta Soccer Dome, tomorrow (Monday) at 20:00. Cost is €6 per person playing. Be there five or ten minutes early so we can start on time and get the full 60 minutes.

You had signed up to play and didnt show up. If you had said you were not going to be able to make it we could have got someone else to take your place...

1. We started late because we were waiting for you.
2. Some of the guys had to pay extra to make up your share of the cost.
3. Being a player short completely ruins the game!!!

To be honest, I think it's best that you don't sign up to play again unless you are 100% sure you will make it - we'll be sticking to playing on Monday's as that worked well last year and suits the majority of people.

I think we'll move over to the social group from now on - any of ye that wants can feel free to start a new thread for next week's sign up over there (7pm Monday)...

Edit: I think priority should be given to the 9 that played last week and got it up and running again - anyone else have any thoughts on this?
