Right, so I was with my band today and the drummer wanted to know if I could actually get us a gig in Trinity. By "in Trinity" I moreso mean playing at one of those gigs that Ents organise...

Is this the kind of thing that could potentially be done by contacting a few people who'd contact a few people?

    Suggestions?
    Thanks :)

Contact DUAMS (alternative music society) who run their own gig nights. Also contact the Ents officer. You may need recordings, though, so that both know you're somewhat competent.

Drop the Ents officer an email, preferably with some recording. Should definitely be do-able. There's also battle of the bands style competitions runs iirc which you could enter.

The ents officers always promise to host gigs but really...not much comes of it, they always disappoint me year on year anyway. DUAMS are a much better bet in terms of frequency and variety of genre, and they're lovely people.
