    Eat more! (Healthy food)

Protein and water for muscle growth.

Varied foods for vitamins and minerals etc.

Nuts are good for proteins, vitamins etc.

Basically look for foods with high protein and good nutritional values.

  • Drink milk. All the time. Try to drink one gallon of milk a day. Full Fat.

It's one of the easiest ways to get a tonne of extra calories into your diet. Nuts and Oils are calorie dense too, and you should aim to be eating plenty of them too. But I think that the GOMAD method of bulking, so long as you are going to the gym regularly, is one of the best approaches.

You're 5'7 and just under the 8 stone mark, for an 18 year old that's nothing to be unduly concerned about :) I would be inclined to let time take care of this issue, allow yourself to fill out as they say. To aid this as folks above have said eat the right foods but get lots of protein and clean carbs, as you are training do try and take in more calories than you need. If you are intent on gaining weight quickly a lash of peanut butter sandwiches in between lunch and dinner and again in the evening after training should put on some meat. Have a banana or two too daily.

Just from your post though, you're stats wouldn't point to you being very skinny ;) As I've said I certainly wouldn't be overly concerned about it.

Same problem, I know ppl will be saying poor me in a sarcastic manner but I have a very healthy appetite and eat as much as any of my housemates and drink a nice bit too, but I just seem to burn calories way too easily and im sitting on my ass most of the day at work. Think its my metabolism or genetics but no matter how much I eat it just seems to burn twice as fast. Maybe I need to take some kind of weight gain formula or steroid? any suggestions

Are you assuming that the OP is a girl or something?

50kg for an 5'7" 18 year old guy is definitely very skinny.

Weight gain formula is jsut food. You don't need steroids either.
Seriously just eat more. Write down everything you eat for a day or two, post it here, or even just look at it yourself. I guarantee you its not as much you think.

Eat what you are eating now and add two litres of milk a day into your diet.
Try eat 1kg of peanut butter a week too.
These calorie dense foods are great for weight gain.

I was in the same position. I was a rake at 9.5 stone and 6ft and was training an awful lot and felt that I was eating loads so thought it would contribute to weight gain which was the goal. Simple answer was I was not eating enough. To the OP and the other poster eat twice as much food as you currently eat and you will gain weight. I have puton 2 stone in 4 months by just eating a **** load more food. Even if your full eat more, and when you finish your last meal think about what your going to eat next. Basically have food on the brain and you will gain weight
