Use Laptop As Desktop Monitor???

    Is this possible?

    I have a hardware issue with my laptop which is causing it to run very slow. So i want to get something new and have decided i would prefer a desktop.

    I was wondering was there a way I could just buy the desktop and use my laptop as the screen? After a google search I found a lot of posts saying it was not possible but these were all from 2003 and 2005 so was wondering maybe now there is a solution.

    Even if it is rather expensive I would still like to know out of interest.
