So im taking maxitone sculptress shake and i really like it. Its for weight loss and toning which i like. But the tubs are very small for the money you pay. Can anyone recommened a bigger tub shake for the same price or something cheaper that is simeler to the maxitone sculptress. Thanks for any advice.

There is no reason you can't have any whey you like, there's no such thing as special whey for women. In fact, most of the ones I've noticed which are advertised for women seem to have more sugar and junk in them than the regular ON Whey most people buy.

Really?? Wasnt aware of that thanks :-)

Yeah and they charge you more for the privilege!

Basically all you're looking for is a protein shake that's low in carbs and will act as a convenient snack or post-work out drink.

For breakfast, it might be nice to make a smoothie with some ice, milk or yoghurt, berries and some protein powder. I like adding almond butter as well.

The previous posters are correct, generally speaking whey is whey. Some companies just parcel theres up in pretty pink packaging and charge a bomb for it.

This is the protein I'm using at the moment...got it months and months ago and still havent finished the tub..it is massive!

I think it comes in at 125kcal per serving, 25g of protein and low carb.

If you're looking for a protein blend (timed release), I'd recommend Gaspari Myofusion. Good product, mixes well and tastes great (strawberry has a thick milkshake texture).

Nah, if anything the wheys aimed at guys tend to be a little lower in calories than the ones aimed at women. I have no idea who so many female ones have fructose in them as the sweetener.

Avoid anything that contains the word Mass, Gain or Meal in the title. They will pack on the pounds.

Hi Eileen, could you recommend one please. You seem to have done quite a bit of research and your posts are always informative. Thanks

I'm a voting voter, there's no one I'd say is a must have. I like most of the ON whey flavours (and if you get a box with a lot of different flavours, definitely go for it).

I like the Kinetica whey, esp the chocolate.

I'm not a huge fan of the H&B stuff mostly because I think it's a bit pricey but if there's an offer I might get the chocolate or vanilla (the banana tastes weird). But don't touch their soy protein, it's foul beyond belief.

I also like the Trec Night protein which makes a protein pudding rather than a shake. I used to love the tins of protein pudding and went into mourning when they were discontinued.

If you are in Hungary, buy up loads of SciTec whey, fab flavours.

There was a thing in the Indo today about whey, and saying that Pilates whey was nice.

as far as im aware whey is whey, this whey for women is only a money maker, if i were you id just stick to normal whey like on, kinetica etc

I bought my first tub of protein - I'm legit now! :D
Got 1kg of Kinetica whey for €25 in Dundrum village. I got vanilla so I can add it to other stuff.

That's a good price for their whey. Its usually around €30-35.

I have found the Optimum Nutrition the best tasting thus far. (This however is a personal Choice)

Have a Look here for an example. http://www.discountsupplements.ie/protein-optimum-nutrition-whey-protein-227kg-free-casein-samples-p-145.html

If your training hard you might also want to look at a slower Releasing Protein for bedtime such as Casein
