How to edit Android user dictionary through SD Card/PC ?

Does anybody know how I can open the user dictionary through the SD card while connected to the pc to edit words? Its a bit cumbersome doing it through the phone.

Edit. I found the file in: .data > HTC_IME>
But dont know which program or how to edit it

Is the file a .db extension? Then it's an SQLite database. You can download sqlite3.exe and use that to edit it, but you'd need to have some familiarity with SQL.

Thanks 28064212, unfortunately .. havent a clue about SQL.

The file properties dont list it as any particular type other than "file"

Then it could literally be anything. Try opening it in a text editor, if that doesn't work, you're probably out of luck

Tried it with Word ... opens grand! Can edit that way.
