What is Wales beat South Africa in the world cup in their opening game? Do you think Ireland may want to lose against Australia and hope to come second in their group. Having said that, Fiji may be a tough test too for Wales.

Samoa are the main danger for Wales in that group. Real chance that they could turn Wales over and get a 1/4 final spot.

Group D is a great group to watch for the neutral. South Africa the number 1 seed are struggling, Wales are struggling too but the two games against the English will have made them feel better about themselves, Samoa look dangerous, and Fiji also look dangerous. There is also the carry over from the last World Cup when Fiji knocked the Welsh out and were leading going into the closing stages of the quarter final against the Boks.

Wales play their last warm up game against Argentina. Taking the way the English played against them yesterday and the way Argentina usually play these are great warm up games for how the Boks usually play.

This group is going to be fun to watch because as it stands 4 of the 5 teams will fancy their chances of getting to the quarters!

15 minutes 'til the next match. I think that Wales are actually in with a chance here at will at least stop SA from getting the bonus point.

Wales +19 points is 4/9..should be a handy bit of profit. Cant see there being much in this game.

Not sure, I have have absolutely no idea where south Africa are at. If they find a bit of form you are probably right.

One thing is for sure after the last game I'm looking forward to this one.

C'mon Wales, win me some cash. :(

I think Wales are in strangely bullish mood for this one.

They really think they're in with a shout.

For them to win this, it'll be an absolute classic.

Think South Africa will just choke the life out of them though.

The ball's flight looked a bit unusual, however Steyn is a sure thing when kicking. I think he will end up missing 1 or 2 though.

    All in the streams sticky.

Looks like it could be a decent game, both teams well capable of running the ball.
There must be something going on with the balls, too many quality players kicking poorly.

Now that last kick had an extremely unusual flight. It seemed to curve just wide and back in, that was strange. Another kickable penalty missed.

D'Oh, cheers. Still half asleep, who knew Sunday had at 7am? Forgot it's on ITV1 as well.

    Fast paced game.

Too early for a can of Bulmers??

From what I can see it was, but hard to see from a TV screen because it went out and then came back in.

Strange they looked to ask for replacement ball afterwards?

Wales playing better rugby than Ireland but maybe the stronger opponents brings out the best in a team. SA not running away with this yet.

This has the makings of a cracking game, fair play to Wales for the way they've recovered from the early try.

Wales/Samoa to qualify, Wales to win here and Samoa to beat SA in final game.

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 10,912 Mod ✭✭✭✭Ponster

Nothing special from SA since the try.

    Priestland kicking possession away again....

Yeah. Way too strong to expect a player to run on to it and not close enough to the line so that a lucky bounce will take it over.

Haha lovin the boos for the drop goal!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Butch James is muck, dunno what SA see in him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,209 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

Should be an interesting second half but the quality of rugby so far is poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Both sides will probably be happy enough. 'Boks dominated the first 5 minutes but haven't looked good since. Wales could really be ahead, taken the wrong options when they've failed to break the SA defence.

Lots of quick ball from the ruck. Pay attention Ireland.
