I use my phone as a 2nd alarm clock in case the power goes in my house (which happened a couple of days ago) and in case I make an arse of it on my main alarm clock. I also have a girlfriend who loves me so much, she sometimes calls me late at night when shes had a few drinks to tell me just how much she loves me :p, meaning I turn my phone off before I go to bed so I can get up for work early in the morning.

Here is the problem, Ive only had the Galaxy Mini for 2 days and I cant figure out how to make the alarm go off while the phone is off, it doesn't seam to work unless the phone is on

    Any help lads ?

    do a test.
set the alarm for 3 minutes time , turn off the phone and leave it off for about 8 minutes

the reason why 8 minutes is that give pleaty of time after the phone turn off because after 3 minutes , you might turn it on when the alarm is just about to go off , so give it some time

You cannot use the alarm with the phone off for smartphones in general I'm afraid. Put the phone on airplane mode during the night if you want a good night's sleep. :)

^ This. Battery use is virtually negligible in airplane mode anyway
