    Hi guys,
    Just looking for some low carb lunch ideas.
    I was thinking turkey slices ( from the butcher counter in Dunnes, is that OK?) and cucumber or something like that.
    What fruit and veggies are good for folks looking to lose a bit of belly fat?, because there is sooooo much contrasting info out there I can't get any definitive answer.
    What about cheese?
    Aaagh! :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Many thanks

    Omelet and grilled portobello mushrooms.

  • The easiest way to do it is to cook in the morning while you're sorting out your breakfast. Get up 25 mins earlier if needs be.

    I rotate around the meats, chicken, turkey, beef, pork stir frys with beansprouts, peppers, red onions, brocolli, baby sweetcorn, mange tout etc etc.

    Or else go for the standard meat and veg, which is pork chops, salmon fillets, turkey breast steaks, tuna steaks with a huge heap of brocolli and cauliflower and green beans (coated in cheese :D)

    I usually have eggs for breakfast, but if you're not doing that, an omellete filled with meats and veg and cheese is fantastic for keeping you full but not bloated, and is low carb as it gets.

    Use www.fitday.com or similar to get an idea of the construction of what you like, see if it fits into your lifestyle. Obviously what suits me doesn't suit everyone and vice versa. Tracking your carbs should be easy enough with that site, or with one of the iphone/android apps if you can get one of those. For me though, brocolli and cauliflower can't be beaten. You can even make a shepards pie from mashed cauliflower and cheese instead of mashed potato. Far nicer too!
