These days its hard to tell what is acceptable, and what is not, on an online forum. I am not sure if i am allowed to ask this but i am going to chance it.
I was previously a member of a different online forum (in no way affiliated with 'boards.ie') and i was banned.
I tried setting up another account with different details and it did not work.
I tried logging in through proxy servers
I tried logging in from my Nokia E71
Surely the phone would have a different ip address to my computer?

My computer skills are limited, and any relevant information or advice would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to pm if you do not wish to post.
    Thank you for your time.

Um did you try to PM the mods on that site as to why you were banned? Obviously you were for a reason.

Unless I'm replying to a bot. Hello bot! <waves>

Unfortunately that is not an option. Thanks for the reply regardless.

Sure it is. And if it isn't, the site wasn't worth the effort.

Either way whether they were right to or not, certainly can't help you undermine their moderation.

Well I suppose the real question here is why have two accounts ?
Were you trying to pull some sort of shenanigans ?

Put #31# before the url, that way they won't know who is accessing the site.

Thank you for your advice, even if it does not work at least it is in the same vein as my original post, and not unsolicited speculation on a different subject.

The details of my ban are of little consequence, and once again i find myself referring to my original post (duplicate account created afterwards) While i appreciate you all taking the time to post I do entreat you to spare me your opinions, i solicit advice on the subject matter only.

    Have a nice day!

Well pardon me Sir ,I was on expressing view on the subject

From your original post I undersold that your predicament was that, you had been banned from a online discussion group. You tried to re-register but they are were blocking you and want some expert advice on how circumnavigate their registration policy .

From your subsequence replies I come the conclusion that you’re a pompous little (,and I may get in trouble , and pardon me for my vulgar language , which is not becoming of me ) asshole .

I find this thread rather shallow and pedantic.

Can a mod please lock this already, it's like watching a cat that's been run over drag itself to the side of the road.

You won't find anybody here who will tell you how to bypass a ban. Because they will be banned.

Your ban is a dispute between you and the site owner. Boards.ie will not be getting involved.

Well if you were banned on a wireless router with 2.4Ghz you can get around it by upgrading your Router to one with a 5Ghz connection, and subsequently upgrading the wireless adapter in your computer to send and receive a 5Ghz signal. Because your laptops, your Nokia, even your Microwave work on 2.4Ghz. But not so many things work on 5Ghz yet. Shouldn't cost too much.

wouldn't rebooting the router change the ip?

Yes. Or maybe. It depends on whether the internets port is full of DNS or not. If you call your ISP and ask them to switch the fibre optic on the tubes around, you might have better luck

I've closed this as it's not going anywhere helpful.
Some users here should know better with some of their replies.
