There seems to be a lot of ickle firsties wandering around the forum, and with results out within the week, I figured now was a good time to start the annual know your Maynoothians thread!

So I'll start us off?

Year: Postgrad
How to Recognise Me: Eh, well, you won't, 'cause I'll be in France for the first semester. But when I come back, I'll probably be the one with the beret and the strings of garlic around my neck.
Other: If you're a law student, you should SO get involved with the Law Society and the Golden Thread. And if you're not, then get involved with Archery /shamelessplugs

How to Recognise Me: The one whose always up for a good laugh and always highly anticipating a good night out.
Other: I'm really interested in learning about the different societies particularly the music soc

How to Recognise Me: I has a beard.

Course: H.Dip in Irish History (did mah BA here also).
Year: Well, there's only 1 year in my course so... It's my fifth (O_O) year in NUIM though.
How to recognise me: Shoulder length brown hair (how unique) avec une side fringe. I like random jewellery, bright nail polish, hot chocolate, and my iPod. Will invariably be found with my laptop in the arts block reading room. Vice Chair/Secretary of the Mental Health soc also, so if anyone joins it you'll know me

Year: It'll be my 6th year here. -_-
How to recognise me: This year I have to wear a suit to college! Hopefully involved in SU elections again this year. Look out for terrible black hair and a pissed-off look (My default face apparently)

How to recognise me: Walking around campus with tea in hand, in a Playdo/Archery/Juggling/Gospel Choir hoody/Music hoody, with long brown hair. Occasionally covered in glitter, glue or feathers, join Playdo to understand why.
Other: Is El Presidente of Playdo (arts, crafts and photography society) this year *freaks out*, AND secretary of the archery club...in final year?! I haz the crazy/fail.

How to recognise me: Cycling around campus on my silver and yellow piece of crap bicycle or wielding a loudspeaker on new campus in aid of some crusty political campaign. Also work in the Maths Support Centre, new home this year in Rye Hall, woo!
Other: Secretary of the Socialist Worker's Student Soc, will be involved with the ULA student soc when it gets off the ground and plan on doing Galway Cycle too so will be involved there too. Also, I'm older than most of you, get off my lawn :pac:

Course: MA in Composition with Computer Music
Year: My 4th year in NUIM!
How to recognise me: Short Blondy fair hair, usually wearing some sort of woolly jumper,
drinking tea and quickly striding to and from the library, pugin hall, logic house, north campus,
the village where or walking idly at the back of south campus recording birds,
looking quite strange whilst most likely wearing a big grey jacket.

Other: Emm... I iz a composer, music teacher and freelance sound engineer.

How to Recognise Me: I've got blue eyes, short hair which is either styled or fluffy... erm, I'm always wearing my blue surf necklace because I think I'm a cool surf dude
Other: I plan on being an active member of the Literary and Debating Soc, and possibly Music and/or Yoga Soc this year. Last year I was a lazy ass commuter and spent very little time just havin' the craic in Maynooth.

How to Recognise Me: black hair, blue eyes, and I love to wear bright colours (except in work where I'm stuck wearing black, white and grey all the time!)
Other: You won't be seeing me around all that much this year seeing as I'm working in Dublin but I do plan on visiting loads!

How to Recognise Me: Average height, hair colour varies.. right now it's brown but meh. Glasses. Usually carry a purple bag with my name on it. In NUI Maynooth Gospel Choir, which mean you'll probably recognise me by the Gospel hoody with my name on it . Will be involved in the Harry Potter Soc once we've in rebooted.
Other: I can't wait to get back to college already, why can't it be September already.

How to recognise me: Brown eyes with always-on glasses, brown hair so dark that it often looks like it's black, wearing heavy coats and scarves and leather gloves during the cold months...and I might get back to wearing hats, if the mood takes me.
Other: I commuted for all of my first year, but I'm living up in Maynooth this year. So, chances are, I'll be in some societies, but I have no idea which ones yet.

How to recognise me: Dark hair, blue eyes, usually very bright eyed and happy and rushing off to the gym or for food, will probably hang out in the library for the first 3 weeks and then slip back into my old ways and end up in the SU bar
Other: So excited to go back now that I don't have to do maths anymore, so my bright eyed, positivity will probably be even worse this year, apologies to non-morning people.

How to Recognise Me: Will probably take up residence in Chill/The Bar. Otherwise Ill be coaching the Fencing Club, or teaching/lifeguarding in the Pool. Have been told I walk around looking angry. I generally wear something Tall Ship related.

How to Recognise Me: idunuo? mostly il be wearing pants,beard, twiddly mustache, being chased by small platinum haired beauty with a razor, often mistaken for Luke 'Ming' Flanagan.
Other: treasurer for PLAYDO, awesome society! join, or else. and juggling, and 5ft unicycle and pants, i promise to wear pants:D
