M&M Direct are having a sale at the moment and have these on sale for €24.99. Apparently there's a free delivery code TEE3 for orders under €50 but it seems that you have to have had placed an order with them before. Works for some people, doesn't for others.

Thanks! Was just about to replace my commuter shorts, which are now wearing dangerously thin
    2 pairs ordered. Super value!

Thanks LightningBolt. The TEE3 code didn't work for me but I was prompted to use FDNC which saved me 50 cents. Makes up a little bit for my earlier disappointment.

Thanks for that. The FDNC code worked for me - the TEE3 one didn't.

I'm sorry but I'm new to this, are these padded shorts? Good buy for a beginner?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,131 ✭✭✭Dermot Illogical

Thanks for that. Solved a problem for me :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,992 ✭✭✭Plastik

Wow. I love this forum. There I was about to pull the trigger on two of these because they're cheap when I have enough shorts and absolutely no need for them. Slapped myself upside the head.

    Put. The credit card. Away.

Full kit (including socks) and the Pinarello Dogma to ride on. That starts to make them an expensive pair of shorts.

anybody have these already? How does the sizing go? Adidas running gear seems to run a little large for me. Bib-shorts same?

These also look like the 2010 version. 2011 shorts have IG Markets on the back?

1 pair ordered, thanks for posting 'Lightingbolt'.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,256 ✭✭✭c0rk3r

The fit was right on size, (medium bib). The jersey (small) was also right on size. High quality chamois. Rode it 70 miles the first time I put it on and felt great!. You feel like a real Team Sky Pro wearing the entire kit. Got nothing but compliments on my ride. High quality item.

I hope this is true because all my other bibs are a Large... I got three mediums :o

Cheers OP, got 2. Never have enough shorts!

cheap pad ( fine for 25 quid) but if you had paid rrp for those .....

    massively quick shipping though

Ordered mine Thursday evening at 6pm, they just arrived this morning.
    That's some quality service!! :):):)
I ordered a Large and it's the correct size for me (I'm 34" waist and 6ft 2" tall).

That's what I like to hear! I just got my pair in L, and I'd be 6'3", though I think with a slightly short torso, also about a 34" waist, so based on a friend's comments about his own set that he had before, I was a little apprehensive that they might be too small. Haven't been able to try them on yet as I got them delivered to work, but this makes me more optimistic.

Agreed on both counts, I was disappointed by the initial appearance of the chamois and hoped to see something that would protect Flecha on a 6hr Paris-Roubaix..............I guess the first long spin will tell a lot.

Each to their own fit, but at 6'2", 85kg and 34/35" waist, I'm glad I went for the XL, fit is excellent.

Mine came today too - ordered last friday. Nice and comfortable fit too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,131 ✭✭✭Dermot Illogical

Mine arrived as well. Good fit, and the padding is perfect for me. The lycra itself is a little bit on the thin side.

Took a chance on the Mediums today, no large left. 5'11" and of slender build so here's hoping they'll be OK. If not they will be flogged at first opportunity. Worth a punt at €25

I've chanced going with the medium too. Adidas gear is generally on the larger side so fingers crossed. I'm about 5' 10".
