  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 2,168 Mod ✭✭✭✭L1m1tless

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38 pocpaul

Ah cool i'll be driving for the first bit got another guy I know to spilt the cost but hoping to get a carpool going soon. Yeah it will be pricey enough living there id imagine, I'm just going to commute sure its only 35 mins away used to work there and it was grand driving.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 2,168 Mod ✭✭✭✭L1m1tless

Extra 35 mins in bed! :P Im lazy. :p Carpool is a good idea especially with the parking permit you need now. i commuted for my degree and some mornings with traffic it took 1hr+ especially coming down over the bridge to the old campus.

I'll just have to figure out the times and that over the first few weeks I suppose, yeah i'll be getting the JJK bus after a while but then again if the carpooling goes well it'll be hard to leave the car at home. Sure time will tell. What course are you doing CowboyDreams?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 2,168 Mod ✭✭✭✭L1m1tless

the bus doesnt go during exams which is really a pain. Im doing Hdip in IT. Plenty of time off :D

I have just finished my first year of Social Science in Maynooth. I would recommend choosing a subject that you think you might actually have some interest in :). Just incase you don't know you can chose one subject from history, geography, economics, philosophy and antropology.

On the website they say the 12th for first year orientation.

    "Monday 12 September to Friday 16 September 2011 - First-Year Registration/Orientation"

    http://registrar.nuim.ie/ImportantDates.shtml

    Assuming we'll be notified otherwise..?

Just in regard the JJ Kavanagh buses, their timetable is up on their website now in case anyone hasn't seen it: http://www.jjkavanagh.ie/en/timetables/print-pdf

And yes, they do run during examinations. It's a different route with less service but it does serve Newbridge

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 285 ✭✭Moon Indigo

Thanks Daemos! Still don't understand why they don't just say Esso station Clane. I assume I just turn up in Clane. That's a great relief won't have to go annoying anyone for a lift! Thanks again!
