AH is actually the last refuge of the mentally non-conformed. I reckon either the diy forum, or the fitness forum is the true sewer. The phrases 'nice guys finish last', 'treat em mean keep em kean' and 'i can't find a nice guy, all guys are dicks' weren't born out of nothing! But prick is too strong a word - I'd say it's more to do with people who exude confidence and where not a phuck is given with regards to womens.

If you want to be really nice and still try to get good looking girls then I'd suggest getting rich.

I have some experience here........its quite hard to get rich by being nice..especially if you have to work your way up........you have to be a bit of a hard nosed prick for this too

I guess they can try their hand at the lotto - their chances are probably better in that than their chances of getting passed the friendzone with a lady friend in all honesty. The worst part is nice guys never learn. Never the heart breakers, always the heart broken. I'm glad I learned young, I used to be such a nice young boy :pac:

As others said pricks usually exude confidence, the "I don't care what you think about me" attitude. You can have that attitude and not be a prick.

You've the 2 extremes, the prick and the nice guy with no balls who get laughed at.

Funnily enough, it's not caring what other people respect or notice that means you aren't a doormat!

What people think is still important because you'd be a prick otherwise, but it's just part of it. If you care too much about others you end up indecisive and no good to anybody.

You might have the nice guy in the background who is superb at the stats and work but hell, nobody sees them expect when they are meek and quiet at meetings. And afraid to be anything other then a yes man. my standards are way too high as it is, so much so that I rarely see a guy I'd consider good looking. and I never said I get with the creeps / pricks, I just said that they're the only ones interested.

If you want to score, you have to be willing to make fun of her playfully. That does NOT make you a prick, but pricks usually don't have any hangups about doing this anyway so they have little problem flirting with people.

In other words, if you're not overly confident, just pretend to be. It's not that difficult and you don't have to be an asshole.
