Not watching RTE links. Any chance of a run down of the exercises?

    No
Its all a load of exercise sh1t soup i.e. lots of stuff thrown together with no idea or focus on what is being prescribed

If you want to do something from home then start with plenty of body weight movements, a kettlebell, foam rolling, mobility/stability work and work up from there e.g.

I respect the fact that on the show he is mainly dealing with quite overweight people but the exercise selection IMO is way off and there are a few fundamentals I would make sure you put in (as mentioned in the video)

Why are people on tv, in magazine and all those other various sources of trash routines obsessed with obscure variations of standard stuff.

There is a world of difference between exercises that are hard because you are pushing yourself and those that are hard because they are bloody awkward

Especially for the large subset of the population (me included) who have a difficult time walking and chewing gum at the same time :D

exactly - its just a random use of moevements with zero attention on working on where most people have problems i.e. tight hips, shoulders, weak glutes/hamstrings etc

Well the thing is, they seem obscure to people who are actively involved in Fitness. To someone who isn't it's "Oh I just have to stretch my arms out with a big book / jugs of water."

Was watching that "Superfat versus Superskinny" thing the other day that Channel 4 do and the woman on it "exploring methods for weightloss" was atrocious. She made everything look like a gimmick and raised the expectation of dramatic instant results.

It's a shame that a lot of popular media use this as a tactic to "introduce" people to fitness because a couple of dumbbells / Kettlebells / Resistance Bands seems daunting, instead of explaining that they aren't daunting along with a few basic examples of how to use'em and possible resources to learn more from.

You missed my point, I wasn't talking about the readers being obsessed with them. I was talking about the "experts" who are the one writing this articles, they should know better.
