I always put free weight back. However if I'm using a machine they often have weights on them already. A lot of machine have a room to hold spare weights too. Should I be putting all of these weights back on the dedicated rack, or is it ok to leave them on the machines?

I'd say put them back on the rack, same as any other freeweights. The machines with set weights are very easy to change but no-one wants to be changing the previous persons freeweights.

Yea you're probably right. I've been leaving them on and people probably have been thinking what a dick. I'll have to start putting them back.
(Sorry about the awful OP, I was listening to something and not really concentrating, just read it back there:o)

You mean the micro weights right? Where the plates go up in 5kgs, there are 3 x 1.25kg weights that slide on and off the stack so you can hit all the inbetween weights.

I'd put them back, just because soem people who notice they are there, some are obvious bith some are quite descrete.

I mean the machines where you put free weights on yourself. e.g shoulder press ect.

ah, you mean plate loaded machines.
Calling them free weights was what was confusing me, should of guess plate loaded first though.
