Gonna go for Tito in this, i know i'll get slated for it but i really believe he'll win on points

Belfort should beat Sexyyama, again on point's i'd say

Looking forward to seein how Nam Phen does

Not the best card i've ever seen but certainly not the worst

Alright card but I don't think I'll stay up for it.

Akiyama-Belfort is the most interesting one for me, another loss for Akiyama and he's either getting a title shot or the sack :D. Seriously though since almost every fight he's in is gold I sincerely hope he fights smart for once and gets the win so he can stay in the UFC.

As much as I like Nam Phan, a win for him would be a loss for Mike Brown. He loses and he's gone I reckon! I wanna see him come back to the heights he hit when he was the FW Champ and smashing Faber, Garcia and everyon else!

    Disagree completely. Akiyama is safe.
There is no rule that if you lose 3 you are gone. Tito went 5 without a win.
Look at the recent fights Akiyama has been in. Brawl with Belcher, Brawl with Leben, 3 rounder with Bisping.
All fight of the night awards.
I'm expecting the same again here, cotender for FoTN. Win lose or draw, he's staying in the UFC.

Tito is losing, blames it only only 5 weeks. It's win/win for him and he knows it. Very smart guy when it comes to gettign the money tbf.

Dennis Hallman to beat Brian Ebersole. Ebersole realy bugged me in sydney (127). Thought it was brutal, and that stupid cartwheel kick was lol bad, as was his cheat strikes. His cardio was good however, and he only won because Lytle gassed due to being sick.

    Jorge Rivera vs. Costantinos Philippou
I really wanted Sakara to smash Rivera. I don't like the way bisping carried on after 127, but Rivera was just a big a tool the whole way up. Promoting a fight he was always losing in order to get soem column inches. I guess it work seeign as we are now facing two cans on the main card. I ahven't a clue here, they both look sh1te.

    Rory MacDonald vs. Mike Pyle
I like pyle, but Rory think rory grinds out a decision here.

    Matt Hamill vs. Alexander Gustafsson
Another 127 fighter, who looked good verses Te Huna. But I think Matt is a step above in class. Matt will always be a gate keeper, and should of dropped to 185 long ago, but I think he is good enough here to wrestle a win.

    Johny Hendricks vs. Mike Pierce
Hemdricks are fought the better guys imo (Pierce fought Fitch be lost in a 3 rounder, surprise surprise)

    Ivan Menjivar vs. Nick Pace
Pace has potential, should out strike Menjivar

I'll prob makes the above bets, depending on price and value

Has anyone see "Ufc 133:verbal warfare Part 2" vid on the ufc facebook? Its between Rashad and Tito and goes on for about a minute but at the end tito delievers the best comeback ever after Rashad goes on for a bit all serious.

    Ninja edit:found the vid

I tried to put that more eloquently earlier but emm couldn't...

I think there is "quality" on display in every fight on this card and although not every casual MMA fan will know all of the fighters I think we are guranteed a great night.

I'm staying up for the potential "oh no he didn't" moment when Tito beats Rashad :p

What time will tito's fight start? And where can I watch it?

What time will tito's fight start? And where can I watch it?

It'll be at the end of the broadcast, perhaps around 4am.

You can watch it in the Wells Fargo Centre in Phillidephia (or, if you don't wanna travel there you can watch on ESPN at 2am. It's part of the regular sports package on Sky now so if you have Sky Sports you'll have ESPN)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,902 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

I know its the main event, but if your only going to watch one fight its not the tito fight you should be worried about.

I'd say about 3-4am at the latest. They're be plenty of streams about at that stage. But tuned in much earlier as some of the others have so much potential.

Sexyama to get 4 fight of the night awards on the go

    Mendes v Yahya for FOTN

Speaking of that........... is there a Pre-Lims special on tonight? its not in the listings (but rarely is)

Stick to this thread around Go-Time! There will be plenty.

In the meantime, you can watch the prelims live for free on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/UFC

I'm guessing they start at 11?

    Here Are All My Prediction's
Rafael Natal To Win Via Decision(Unanimous)
Mike Brown To Win Via TKO RD 2
Johnny Hendricks To Win Via Tko Rd3
Nick Pace Via Submission Rd 2
    Chad Mendes Via Decision(Split)
    Matt Hamill Via Decision(Unanimous)
    Rory MacDonald Via Decision(Unanimous)
Jorge Rivera Via KO RD 1
    Brian Ebersole Via Decision(Split)
Co-Main Event Vitor Belfort Via TKO RD 2
Main Event Rashad Evans Via TKO RD3

So you're guessing that Mendes and Ebersole will both win, but only 2 judges will score the fights for each of them and 1 judge will score the fights for their opponents? Strange. . .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34 DanielC95

Yeah I Guess It's Strange to say split for the mendes fight but for the ebersole fight well he is coming against a wrestler so he may lose a round just if he gets taken down an another one could be close , its experience vs experience but I think ebersole did a great job beating Lytle cause he had lot of momentum going into the bout and ebersole took it so i think he will edge out a victory with the tough hallman..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,663 ✭✭✭JoeyJJ

Think this is going to be a cracking card. Really looking forward to McDonald, hope he does a few slams tonight and of course the main event should be very good, Tito does look in good shape could go either way if it goes to decision i expect 29-28.

Pity prelims not on espn. Facebook will have to do.

    anyone putting an accumulator together?

might threw a few quid on tito @ 3/1 for the craic!

Split decision does not mean 29-28, thats still a unanimous decision, predicting a split decision is kind of stupid unless leonard garcia is fighting.

Mike Brown, Mike Pierce, Alexander Gustafsson & Vitor Belfort all to win pays just over 4/1. I'll snap the hand off that :)

A single for Mike Pyle to beat Rory McDonald might be good value too. He handled John Hathaway with ease.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,961 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

got 8/1 on ebersole, pierce and philippou so a small bet on that

nice bet then on ebersole at 21/20

    hamill overpriced at 6/4 maybe

    evans by decision
    belfort by ko
    macdonald points

Well Not really cause wrestler can rob rounds with one take down an we all know about the dodgy judging in MMA

This card is very dull and bad. That arena is cursed for UFC events. 101 was the worst card of '09 and this is already a contender for worst card of '11

Right now, 2am and anytime from about 4am onwards for the Tito fight just to make sure you catch the start of it. But I wouldnt miss the Belfort Akiyama fight, could be a lot better and its on just before Tito.

I may be repeating what's already been said before, but it's on ESPN which is now free on Sky if you get Sky Sports Package (and possibly with UPC too), first time watching it on the TV as opposed to downloaded or on a stream.

Good first match, had expected Pyle to win, but the young lad deserved the win imo.

Christ Rory McDonald just turned 22. I'd say he's going to be a mainstay of UFC for the next decade or two. Maybe even a champ if he keeps developing so well.
