Did 45mins on the cross trainer yesterday and my feet got mad numb half way through

Anyone else get this? Does it just happen, or is it related to how I stand on the machine, or my runners?

There's a lot of blood in your legs but with very little foot movement on a cross trainer, your body has to do without the feets muscular contractions to aid in blood flow. A little like pins and needles. Move your feet and toes more

Any insight as to why it only happens sometimes?!

For myself and missus it only happens on longer sessions on the cross trainer. Not sure about others to be honest.

this actually happened to me the other day. I'm using a cross trainer in my workout for the first time since last week. I actually assumed it happened as i had the straps on the exercise bike a little tight before i got to the cross trainer...

I've had a look round, and people are suggesting many things.
    shoes being too tight
dont always keep your heels full on the pads
dont always put the pressure on the balls of your feet
    wiggle your toes
increase and decrease intensity to change it up
also try going backwards to change up the muscle groups used..

    found an article here http://www.intelligenttrainingsystems.com/blog/?p=128

    Anyone find any other suggestions?
