Not me specifically, but in general if your name is Gary Glitter then you should seriously think twice about bringing your laptop into PC World to get fixed.

Never, ever (insert stupid thing to do that will lead to personal, financial or emotional pain). If you do, you will be sorry, but wiser for the experience. If you get the chance to(insert exciting, but slightly risky, possibly deviant experience that you secretly yearn to do), then always go for it, you will be glad later on when you look back. If you survive, obviously. NO bother, you're welcome!:)

No matter how hard you scrub or try to clean up the scene the boys down the crime lab will always find something to make a pithy comment about.

Money - The fastest way to lose friends.

Also learned a while back to be an individual. Don't follow trends or do stuff just to please people, you go down bad roads that way

I'd like to third or fourth the washing up liquid in the dishwasher thing.

I did it by accident while on holidays. I didn't realise the glass on the counter was half full of "borrowed" washing up liquid. I poured it down the drain and put the glass in the dishwasher.

    mayhem soon ensued...

The dishwasher cuts out when it fills with foam/suds. So it is a never ending cycle of start, stop, remove as much bubbles and suds as you can and repeat.

Sadly we were leaving on the day it happened and were in a rented apartment so we did the "cycle" about 5 times before we just had to leave it :/

Never think that Human Resources are there to help you
It's true there are lovely, friendly ladies in HR as they are great at listening. :)

But treat a meeting like an interview at the garda station, be measured and careful and plan what you want to say in advance. Take notes. Bring a witness if allowed.
    Admit to nothing
