Album leaked late last night by some crowd in Brazil.

Noel's twitter saying something along the lines of "So someone finally had the balls to leak it"

That's not his actual twitter. I won't be listening to it yet, anyway.

It's being shared through pm's on fan forums but I'm resisting....

    For now!!!

1st listen and I'm loving it so far.

Lock all the doors could of been ( and was ) taken straight from Definitely Maybe.

My resistance broke and I gave it a listen. It's great but can't help but feel that the dying of the light is over produced.

I gave in too. I thing TDOTL is wonderfully produced tbh

It doesn't go overboard and stays a rather intimate listen on headphones.

So pumped to get my vinyl copy and cd with the bonus tunes.

    Why is anyone resisting?

Riverman is the highlight on 1st listen. Reminds me a bit of Pink Floyd.

It's really good. The only song I would have taken off it is Girl with X-ray eyes and lashed Do the Damage in there instead.

    Riverman is great!!

I quite like TGWTXRE. Least favorite would have to be the Mexcian.

I keep going back to "You know we can't go back". Really poppy upbeat catchy tune that could have been on BHN.

So, is it better / more varied than Noel's first album?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,450 ✭✭✭Batesy

I'd go ahead and say it's better. The Right Stuff is very different. Riverman is brilliant, Dying of the Light finally gets the studio treatment it deserves.

There's less filler on here than the 1st record.

I'd say its better also. Better songs, better production.

I would have loved to hear Liam of '94 singing Lock All The Doors.

Decent album after a few listens, its a bit soft though. Can see some of these tracks being covered on x-factor or something.

Lock All The Doors, Dying of The Light and You Know We Can't Go Back are my favourites so far. He picks weird singles, they don't do it for me at all.

    Looking forward to the gig.

Dying Of The Light demo is on the flip side of the HMV vinyl and it's just wonderful.

I love the album version but the demo has a better Noel vocal.

Uggghhh he's only gone and ruined Revolution Song.

    Horrible.

I like the backing vocals. Pity he took out the solo.

Which version is that, the new album? Sounds alright?

It's the finished version. B-Side to Lock all the Doors. I think.

Looking forward to this! Can pre-order now! He should just make the whole lot available and not have all this "b side" business.

I find the album decent enough, I can't get into the hype though, I've tried but it's just an OK album for me.

More of the same, very soft too.

Leave My Guitar Alone is a wonderful little ditty!

Almost a sequel to Married With Children!

Hope it's not taken down before ye hear it lads

Only had 1 listen so I haven't a fully formed opinion yet but on first listen it's great, noting mind blowing or unexpected, it's very much a Noel Gallagher album.
