    Hi all,

Firstly, as a Shelbourne fan I wish Rovers all the best tonight.

Secondly, Does anyone know if this match is on TV? Setanta Ireland? RTE?

    Any scoreline predictions?

Are you feeling ok? There'll be Shels fans hunting you down and sending you back to Shels fan training camp to learn the error of your ways now..:)

best of luck to rovers....thought this game was at home first so that is good news.

come on lads, do this country proud.

Raging I couldn't get over as Tallinn was a great trip. Sick about this game. I feel there's more chance of a hiding from these than Juve for some reason.

I expect to see Rice and McCormack staying in front of the back four and hopefully we can hold out. No shame if we get beaten by a team of this calibre as a few quid has already been made and we'll have another - possibly glamour - tie after this.

Feel for Ryan Thompson and hope he does OK. Met him a few times and he's one of the nicest lads you could meet.

Whats up lads? I let the hoop in here leave at 2, reckon very drunk bag of nerves now.

Sobriety and European games dont go well together.

Any other streams for this match? Would love to see rovers do it. Realistic a draw (but not 0-0 draw) would see them have a chance!

I had flights booked and away ticket bought....couldn't go. Giving away the ticket wasn't an easy experience :D

I fear an early goal or mistake. As long as there's no early mistakes or wonderstrikes, I'd even take 3-1 right now. These probably want to win this game more than Juve wanted the Europa League last year.

Thompson is a decent keeper from what I've seen him bar his kickouts from backpasses and running past the ball. If he gets on well, it could be a start to another glorious Hooped keeper's career..

Goodluck to Roves tonight, an away goal would be great.

Best of luck to them, hopefully that can put in a great performance and see where that gets them. Going to be so tough tho, huge step up in class.

Any team that can do this has to be pretty decent

I always feel in games like these that the Irish team is going to get a drubbling.

Hopefully they can get a result that will keep things interesting next week.

If they can get a result like that against Barca, im sure Rovers can do likewise (i hope)

many travel over?? i assume they chartered the aer lingus plane like juve last year?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,721 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

There'll be less than Tallinn, I heard something like 300. There was one charter flight like last year, some seats on the Rovers squad plane and then everyone else on scheduled flights

Massive gulf in class between these two teams.

Can't see it so far. Rovers have looked the better team.

Massive gulf in class between these two teams.

In other news, the Titanic has sunk off the coast of Newfoundland, 1500 presumed dead.

Rovers have looked comfortable since the goal...FCK sitting back a bit more.

Anyone else wonder when the **** did Rovers sign Thomas Delaney?:pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,593 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

Copenhagen just seem to have that bit more time on the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Decent 1st 25 from Rovers, doing ok since that goal.

The streams are annoying, all seem to be breaking up :(

Massive gulf in class between these two teams.

award for "trying to state the obvious but failing horribly" goes to you.

rovers doing the club proud so far, well in this....just need a bit of luck now to keep something for the 2nd leg.

If they can keep it like this until 70 minutes hopefully Copenhagen start getting nervous

    And FFS!

We're well in this. Come on Rovers

Copenhagen look very dodgy anytime a cross drops into the penalty area. There's a goal in this for Rovers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 729 ✭✭✭scruff321

any decent streams? the denmark one has gotten ****ter!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,798 ✭✭✭syngindub

have to say Conor McCormack is having a great game in midfield. my motm so far. Rovers are well holding there own here and not the gulf in class i expected. Very unlucky not to be level. Maybe Copenhagen will come more into the game but if it stays like this i'll be happy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,276 ✭✭✭IRISHSPORTSGUY

Can help feeling there's a goal in here somewhere for Rovers and they should go for it. 2-1 > 1-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,256 ✭✭✭FlawedGenius

    some save...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

Great save by Thompson there followed by a dodgy punch from the resulting corner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Good save by Thomson. 2-0 would have been very undeserved

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 729 ✭✭✭scruff321

Yea if they can take a goal back to Tallaght, it would make all the difference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

We need to start pumping more balls into the box from the flanks, and try to get quicker support for Twigg. Everytime the ball drops, Copenhagen are panicing and Dennehy almost equalised from their hesitation.
