soooo, was lyin in the leaba last night, just starting to doze off, when my ass cheek started twitching like some weird parody of those brazillian dancers.

seriously, it was jigglin up and down, like a jack hammer, but it was just the one cheek..WTF

also, the weird twitchy eye thing that happens at the most inconvenient times, like when you're at an interview, or your standing for a photo at a wedding or something, and when the pics come out you look like you've got bells palsy in them...sigh

    so peeps do tell.....

Tiredness or a mineral deficiency. Lack of magnesium or potassium (can't recall which) can cause muscle twitching/ spasming

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Just sounds like a muscle spasm. Can happen when you're just about to drift off to sleep.

I've just been reading the "Favourite Positions" thread and now here's you with you twitchy ring. It's getting difficult to pretend to be concentrating on work. I'll be back in 10 mins, kfallon will answer your questions on this while I'm away.

Most likely dehydration – drink more water before bed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,775 ✭✭✭✭kfallon

A strategically placed finger in your hole will stop the twitching, I can prescribe that with 100% confidence ;)

Even better if you choose to perform this with my finger :p

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,007 ✭✭✭sollar

Anxiety can cause it and low calcium is another one i heard.

If you ever drop a 50 cent piece with me behind you I'd advise you to kick the coin home rather than bend over to pick it up ;)

But don't knock the 'finger' til you try it :p

No problem Mr Duffy, there has been no recession in my house since we started our referral partnership. Already on my second batch of surgical gloves this week alone and 4th bottle of baby oil......plus went thru one bottle of cooking oil whilst performing my late night call out duties :o

A little vein or something under my eye twitched continuously, and noticeably for about two weeks, once. Was wore out with it by the time it stopped:(. Felt like the biggest perv ever, couldn't look anyone in the face in case they thought I was winking mad at them:o Stress brings it on apparently. Well it's a bloody Catch 22 situation then, as the more I twitched, the more stressed I felt.

We'll see if we can get a bulk deal on the oil to keep overheads down. Recycled chipfat should do the job.

I've good and bad news OP.

The good news is it's not AIDS. The bad news, and I know boards Inc. frowns upon normal posters giving medical advice, but seeing as how I'm not normal I can say with 100% certainty that you have TB.

    Goodnight sweet princess.

    Simples babes.

    Wipe your hole properly 'kay.

Not a fcuking cursory swipe in the general direction of your badge.

Good swabbing out, get in there deep and work from front to back, away from the clunker.

This ensures a 'blue flag' condition on the rusty bullet hole and baby wipes are recommended for heavy clagging.

Check your diet OP as with proper diet and exercise, this condition should not arise, as the 'payload' should clear muzzle easily and not clog the spout.

    Good girl.
Don't worry too much, just pay more attention to hole hygiene.

I see people saying its calcium and magnesium and all sorts... the only mineral deficit I've ever heard associated with this before is Potassium. It happens the eyelids most often but it can also happen to other body parts. I get it in my leg when I'm wrecked tired, I start kicking involuntarily when I'm trying to get to sleep. Eat more bananas, get your potassium levels up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,297 ✭✭✭Jaxxy

My doctor calls those "pinches". Funnily enough the one in my eyelid stopped as soon as I called in and was told they're no harm. Do you feel stressed out OP?

I suggest your significant other (or any of the fine manly specimens posting here in this thread) should run you a bath, light some scented candles, put on a Barry White CD and then douse the pair of you in massage oils so things can get hot and slippery. Get more than your arse twitchin.

Not questioning his diagnosis, but have his methods been examined by a medical council?
