Advice for workouts

I'm looking to improve my fitness and health a lot more serious and I'm just looking for a bit of advice or recommendations on which I could add to my workout. I'm a 16 year old girl, 164cm tall and currently 9 and a half stone but hoping to get back down to 8 or 7.5 stone (sounds a bit light but I've a small frame)

I try to hit the gym 3-4 times a week but I've gotten lazy in the past year so I really want to get back on track and start going more. I usually run 5km on a tredmill (changing of speeds and incline etc), crosstrainer for about 20 minutes and sometimes the stair stepper for around 15 mins with changing of incline too! I do some weight machines too for my back, legs and abdominal too and on the odd chance I'd go for some free weights but I usually am too lazy and give it a pass (are free weights better than weight machines?)

Also in case someone recommends a trainer! I had a personal trainer in my gym last year but the gym constantly was changing the trainers quicker then I could snap my fingers and programmes were being lost so it was all turning into a hopeless case so I gave up on trainers...

Is there anything else you'd recommend for me to add or alter to my workout?
    all help is appreciated!
