I decided today that I am sick of looking huge in all recent photos and avoiding getting dressed as most of my clothes are stuck to me!

I tried a diet in May and again a few weeks ago but I think my problem is I am waaaay too strict then after a week of very strict and controlled eating I give in and eat anything in my path :o

I need to loose 2 stone to get back to the weight I was at last year. I didn't even realize how much I'd put on till recently. Looking at pictures of myself now compared to last year makes me feel so disgusted. I'm hoping I can look at this tread in moments of weakness to remind myself how much I want this.

I think I need to get the word "diet" out of my head and concentrate on eating healthy. I lost a stone a couple of years ago by eating moderately healthy, going on the treadmill for an hour 3 times a week and treating myself at the weekend! I was in a nice little routine and the weight was falling off.

My boyfriend is another big problem when it comes to loosing weight. He doesn't seem to think I need to loose any and suggests things like takeaways and meals out, chocolate etc etc. Unfortunately my will power isn't great :p

So here goes another attempt to slim down. Hopefully this one will last. Going to try to cut down big time on carbs and sugar but try not to be too strict so it will last. Also getting back on the treadmill!

Just wondering too, could some people suggest some low carb, healthy options for dinner? I love cooking but I find it hard to think of stuff that isn't smothered in calories and other bold things!!

The classic low carb dinner is steak and broccoli. Or salmon and spinach (five minute cooking time). Or garlic prawns and green beans. Or roast chicken and whatever veg you fancy. Or beef and mushroom stew. Or chicken and and olive and celery casserole. Or cauliflower cheese. Or asparagus wrapped in parma ham. Or salad Nicoise. Or bacon and cabbage. Or pork and veg and peanut stirfry. Or chicken curry made with coconut milk and lemongrass. Or moussaka. Or melanzane alla parmigiana.

Lidl and Aldi have a great selection of fresh veg, eggs, meats and fruit - great to get all your nutrients, low cal, low carbs, unprocessed for such a low price. Do you have access to these stores? My advice is to plan your week's cooking and do one weekly shop for fresh products. It takes a bit of planning but you won't have to go into another store all week and be tempted with rubbish.
