Protein Powder getting through airport security

Has anyone ever been stopped for bringing a tub of whey protein powder on a flight? It is an opened container and I can only transport it on my carry on luggage. Will it get confiscated? (Im flying Ryanair btw)

You can't bring food items on the plane in hand luggage unless you bought them at the gate.

Although I have actually brought pre-packed meals on a flight before and wasn't stopped

I wouldnt think there is any restriction. It's not a Liquid, Aerosol, or Gel.

If its open/ not sealed you myt get quizzed about it and could be confiscated..

It is food.
Weather or not they treat it as food will prob depend on whoever deals with you.

This is not true unless it's a very new rule. I've brought all sorts of food in hand luggage and have only had it confiscated when they were liquidy (soft cheeses)

I've had them taken off me. Maybe it's cause they were open.

I only went to the uk 2 weeks ago with ryanair and brought some protein with me in a zippy bag,I asked the women in security and she said its fine but they might need to look at it.Went though the scanner things and that was it nothing else said or asked:D
