Weight Loss

Hi - I stopped smoking two years ago and gained 2 stone - my heaviest was 11.9stone - I've managed to bring myself down to 10.7stone by just changing my diet from very fatty fry-up's to a very tasty and healthy variety of foods and I'm never hungry - I walk briskly for 1 hour per day and I'm on my feet during working hours for at least 5 hours, but I still have excess fat around my stomach. I've heard lately that people who have tried Tony Quinn's Amino Or for weight loss have been very successful - I don't want to waste money on gimmicks - so I'm putting it to you guys - have anyone of you tried these amino's or heard anything about them? lets know asap.

My advise... Get a personal trainer. I paid a girl E50 per month for 3 months and lost 3 and 1/2 stone. Well worth the money and keeps you motivated when someone is checking up on you.

Thanks I hadn't thought of that - well worth the €50 and great results I'll definitely consider this option!

    What is your diet like?

Can you give us an idea as to what you eat, daily?

I've had a look into that specific Tony Quinn product and cannot find any information about what it contains...which is odd. It's normally pretty easy to find out but TQ seems to hide the contents of his products.

To be honest, i have very little regard for the effectiveness or quality of his products...I would have just liked to have a look and see what was in Amino Or.

Chances are it is a simple amino acid blend, which wouldn't offer anybody any specific fat burning qualities at all.

I'd suggest upping the intensity on the excercise front as a way to restart your weight loss. Is there any kind of extra activity you can take part in? Like starting running or cycling?

Hi again jogging etc is out for me as many years ago i had an accident and my knee's are bad but cycling is an option as that may not affect my knees and its years since i went cycling on and thanks for looking into the Amino Or tablets, it is kinda odd that the ingredients are not available.

OP diet looks good (do you really need the toast and if so is it white bread?). Although you could be eating a bit more frequently? Have you noticed any dip in energy levels?

Upping the exercise seems like the best option if you don't want to fork out for gym / trainer. Youtube is your friend. Body weight exercises are a great way of building a base level.

for my toast I always use Mc Cambridge brown bread as its low in fat and extra light spread - my energy levels have gone up and I sleep better - when I gave up smoking at first I did get very fond of chocolate however I have substituted this with some fruit - I'll check out youtube sounds good thanks
