At least we know who the winners meet now.

Some very dark clouds looming over Thurles.

We could be in for a downpour during the game.

Theres about 10 waterford fans here id say. Desperate crowd.

I reckon Waterford will come out flying at the start, but Galway will keep the head and win by 4 points.

Eoin Kelly starting, didn't see that coming.

have to say i have never really rated him as a player. No doubt he is a great free-taker but his overall contribution is poor.

Backed Waterford at 5.6 on Betfair. There's the risk they could be whiped out but I don't think they will. I don't think Galway are everything they are cracked up to be and while I expect a Galway win I can't not have a bet on Waterford when that price is being offered.

    The anthem sounded well.

    Hoping galway win well.

gents on a unrelated note, can anyone tell me why the national anthem was played in before the cork and down game yesterday in croker? And it wasn't played before the kildare game imediately before it?

I was at both games, and it confused me.

Not that it bothers me or anything, just curious, anyone any idea?

It seems as if Waterford have been told to take every goal chance they possibly can.

    Nice one Ger.

Seems to be the ploy alright.

Not paying off though. There's only so long they can keep that up.

waterford creating plenty of goal chances with the space they are creating.

would want to cut out the silly errors though.

    Def Pen

    There's the lead.

    Keep it.

Defo a penalty. Good match so far, there's something about Sundays > Thurles > crowds and hurling, it looks perfect.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

Ger Canning is talking out of his backside.

Nobody who knows their hurling in Galway reckons it was just a matter of turning up in Thurles today.

We have more respect for Waterford than that.

Exactly Waterford never turned up the last day against Tipp, what happened there is not a true reflection of this Waterford team and it looks like it will be a tight affair to the final whistle.

Ger Canning is a joke of a commentator. If he says "he got sufficient latitude" once more I'm going to throw the TV out the window!

Is Skehill trying to send the sliotar into Co. Offaly with those puck outs ?

Waterford have done well and the start was good but now the test will come. Can they keep it going.

Galway seem to be driving alot of ball into the forwards that is aimless. Crowd midfield and put the right ball into them as Tipp did. Did anyone show them the Munster Final? They seem clueless at times.

Davy seems to have learnt his lesson after the last day. He is protecting his goal by having plenty of defenders in front of the goal.

fair to say neither of these two will trouble kilkenny going on that first display, hopefully picks up a bit in the second half

I'd say that Galway could be even further behind and coming up to half time Galway didn't look anymore dangerous than Waterford. Tight game and I wouldn't say the real test is the come. A more apt question would be can Galway open up the dodgy Waterford backline but with the balls they are putting in and where they are shooting from it shows that they are struggling a bit. Waterford have looked more likely to get goals but it's a game of 2 halves so we'll see what happens. They should probably try and emulate Tipp with a few (decent) long balls

    Iarla Tannian.

From Ardrahan. He needs more of the ball in this game.

with waterford having scored the first two scores of the second half, i'm fairly certain the galway -4 handicap backers are resigned to the fact the bookies have their money. Game over on that respect, happy days for the bookies.

Galway are some bottlers. unreal- five games go into midfield, five times wsaterford come away with the ball cleanly. Have they been given a feckin bung?

    Here we go again.
    Galway self imploding.

    :(

this game is over, well done waterford.

Galway are pathetic today. Completely off the pace of the game and they would need to wake up very quickly or this game is gone from them.

    Cracking start for Waterford again.

Waterford playing with more heart and spirit. I feel John McIntyre's reign has a short time left unless Galway wake up.

Question. Why did Eoin Kelly clutch his face when he appeared to be hit on the shoulder? Granted it was a free but a silly one to give away. Shane Walsh playing powerful stuff

all over. galway bottle it again. well done waterford

Galway are gone soft again, a team with no real conviction will not be handed an All Ireland, their heads are in Halo already

Waiting for the game to fall for them, its a shame. Waterford are showing more fight, Galway are trying to be fancy and just need to do the basics right. Come on lads, lift it

Kevin Moran is a star player today as is Shane Walsh
Hope we don't relax for the next 20 mins though

every-single-ball into midfield is picked up by a waterford man easily, and never harried.

I've never seen a bunch of men act so indifferent to an all ireland quarter final. While waterford are playing well, Galway seem to have gien up. Its very very strange to watch..and that's putting it mildly

Poor fare but Galway are looking like they want to be at the races. At least Waterford are playing some bit.
