samsung n150 plus netbook to tv question

    So I have the vga to vga cable and the audio cable which has a standard audio jack on one end and the red & white port at the other end but I have picture and no sound..

    I read somewhere I might need to configure the settings on my tv (flatscreen samsung) to allow audio input from the laptop but I can't find the settings for it or is it that i just need a standard audio jack at both ends of the sound cable rather than the red/white?

    Or..does the samsung n150 just not support this kind of output and i need to buy a soundcard?

    any help would be greatly appreciated :)
