I don't want to use my "proper" running shoes (Asics Kayanos) Is there a more all-purpose shoe out there which is suitable for this kind of activity but which still provides enough support/cushioning? Hey all,

Is there a more all-purpose shoe out there which is suitable for this kind of activity but which still provides enough support/cushioning?

Read a couple of articles which said running shoes suitable but I am a little sceptical to be honest

Trail shoes I guess... if it's going to be wet and muddy out. Which it probably will be considering it's Ireland.
