Joining Gym to lose weight

    I am female early 30's and about 4 stone over weight, I have decided to join a gym to help shift this excess weight

    I know nothing about gyms and will ask for programme but i want to make sure i am give then correct advise from the gym.

    what machines / exercise should i be doing - 1st objective lose weight, 2nd objective get healthy and fit.

    All advise much appreciated.

    Just tell the instructor what your goal is. He/she will then set the programme for you. They will tell you what you need to be doing in regards machines etc. It will be even more important to get your diet right, which most gyms will help or advise you on too.

    Realistically if you want to lose weight, you've got to address your diet. Take a look at the stickies for advice.
