So i'm going healthy from now on. Can i replace crisps with popcorn? The normal manhattan popcorn you find in all shops? Are the salt levels very high? Or is it perfectly fine? Thanks ;)

I think he is saying if you are worried about salt you can make your own and not salt it.

I would sooner snack on nuts.

    The following is my opinion.

I think popcorn is a "junk" food. The reason for my thinking on this is that it has little or no nutritional benefit. Similar to ricecakes. People eat them "to feel full", when in fact they should be eating nutritious food if they feel hungry, and not foodstuffs that taste like cardboard/stale air.

Nutritious food such as all fresh meat, fresh fish, fresh shellfish, eggs, veg (particularly the green leafy type), nuts (unsalted plain ones, go for a variety), fruit (particularly berries), etc.

Popcorn is a better alternative to Doritos anyway...

Not a good comparison....... Doritos are a better alternative to heroin, yet I'm sure a nutritionist would recommend avoiding both for a healthy diet.

just get yourself unsalted brands.popcorn is low in cals and can fill you up too if you are dieting. it can be quite easy to over-snack on nuts if you don't watch your portions carefully...they are packed with calories.
eating a bag of popcorn while otherwise eating relatively well will not have the slightest negative effect on your health.......in fact, neither will eating the odd bag of crisps.

Popcorn perfection is the best brand as it's cooked in coconut oil.

Ok snack for 3-4 times a week IF you find you stick to one packet and it doesn't make you starving an hour later.

If you use just the popcorn kurnels and no oil. I used to have this plastic popcorn maker, it was a plastic thing with holes in the top, and it cooked the popcorn using just the heat of the microwave, I wouldn't imagine it would be too bad.
