Fifa sprint/R2 problem?

    I'm currently having a problem sprinting with the ball in FIFA. Basically it doesn't work and I don't know why.

    I thought maybe the R2 button was broken on my controll but I can confirm that I can make a runner sprint (ie the player will sprint fine when not in control of the ball). However when he recieves the ball he refuses to run with it and can only move forward with basic pace. So that would suggest to me that the controller physically still works at least and the problem is something in game?

    Has anyone else had this problem? I've not changed anything in settings and I've never had this problem before and it only started happening last night. I put the game away when it started happening and when I came back tonight it was fine for a couple of games but now it's happening again.

    Anyone experienced this or know what might be going on? Thanks.

    I wreckin its your l2 button which is jammed, pressing r2 and l2 together cancels out the sprint

    Thanks. That was it. L2 was slightly caught in the moulding. So much as it could still be pressed and used but when released it never fully depressed.

    I pulled L2 out a little by hand and heard a 'click' and now R2 works fine.
