Can anyone tell me if taking the morning after pill while on Implanon can cause either not to work. I have been on Implanon for the last 11 months but of late have not had regular intercourse. 6 weeks ago I had sex without a condom and freaked out so got the MAP now im afraid I may be pregnant even though I have done HPT's and they have all been negative, it may have been too early for them to give a positive result.

After getting the implant my periods stopped and 2 months ago I had spotting for 1 day and again the week after I had sex I had one day of spotting. I feel I have symptoms of pregnancy but dont know now if its my mind playing tricks on me or if I could really be pregnant. :(

The best advice I would say is if it's worrying you this much a trip to your GP for a pregnancy test would calm your fears.

That said implanon is very effective as a contraceptive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implanon#Effectiveness_in_preventing_pregnancy Higher than surgical sterilisation going by the stats and you took the MAP on top of that? That's serious belt and braces contraception.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

We cannot give out medical advice on this site so I have to lock your thread.

If you are truly worried, as Wibbs has suggested, please contact your GP.
