tinned salmon?

Anybody know if this is a good food to eat for weight loss? I love tinned salmon and I always wash off most of the salt. I've already cut most junk out of my diet and have lost about 8 pounds in the last month but I find it hard to cut down on bread/cereal around tea-time (would normally have toast or a bowl of shredded wheat/weetabix) so I'd love to have a tin of salmon instead.

Is it too much protein to eat everyday (i usually have meat with dinner)? Should I be worried about metal leeching into the fish from the can? Is it good for cholesterol/blood sugar? Would it be going overboard to eat more than 1 tin per day? Thanks!
