    Hi,
I got UPC multi-room and I wanted to install it myself and just ran a wire to the other room (wire cant be seen). Most of the stations are working perfectly and the signal quality is 100% (according to the menu on the UPC TV box) but the signal strength is about 40%. However some of the Music stations do not work, the station is either just a load of broken "blocks" of TV or it just says No Signal.

My question is if I use a Signal Booster could that fix the problem? I was going to buy this one. http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5344235/Trail/searchtext%3ETV+BOOSTER.htm

No signal boosters will not work, its likely the signal arriving at your house is not good enought or that the cabling you ran to the second room is not of good enought quality.

You must use cabling of CT100 or equivalent standard. Is there any markings on it?

I have bought the Signal Booster Since I made this thread. It worked perfectly. The missing and scrambled channels are now working.
