I saw that GodsGarden are running a weekend long Evo party event just to watch the stream and play casuals. Legends that they are.

They follow me on twitter. so proud.

    xgc still do overnighters?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,022 ✭✭✭Naphiel

I saw a sign on the window saying they do today.
    Can't remember anything about prices.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 551 ✭✭✭Monkeyto

I'm game for this if we can get a good group of us on it. I'll be in work that Monday so if I'm gonna do it, it has to be mega hype and a good crowd.

Overnighter wouldn't be a bad idea. I'd be interested in it. I used to book them for my old Gaming Society in ITT, was 25 euro per person for 12 hours from say 9/10pm till 9/10am. I don't know if their prices have changed or not, but the guy who worked there at the time said they were overcharging and to ring him directly. Can't remember his name right now but it was the irish fella. Don't know if he still works there or not but you could ask him in person, might get it abit cheaper than that.

This sounds like a plan too if all my chips fall in the right place in the next week or 2

But what's the point of an all-nighter if you can't WATCH Evo??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 966 ✭✭✭Jun_DP101

    sounds cool

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,333 ✭✭✭Sairus

I'm sure we could hook up a laptop to a connection somewhere in the XGC, Kiki.
Or watch it on a PS3 there.

I'd defo do this in cork but dublin just to watch evo its abit much really?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,333 ✭✭✭Sairus

And play games all night with the rest of the Irish players :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭Dreddybajs

This is a good idea, they're definitely still doing the all nighters as far as I know. I doubt watching the streams upstairs would be a problem - we could see if we could have 3 ps3s running the 3 different streams.

I'll shoot them an email about it later.

We can hook laptops to the TV's using HDMI cables, piece of cake

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 547 ✭✭✭ladnopoka

Brilliant idea ! i would like to come :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭Dreddybajs

Asked in XGC today and we're on for an overnighter there - more people we get the cheaper it'll be. We can use the TVs to stream evo.

Monday is a bank holiday, do we want to do it on Sunday night? Means the finals would be on.

I didn't realise that Monday was a Bank Holiday.

    LESS GO.

Ooh, I forgot about Day of Champions being that weekend too. Good ****. Weekend of SF for Sairus! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 429 ✭✭Linoud

Sounds good to me. :] Put me down for a space.
How much roughly would it be, depending on numbers we get, do you know? Like 20 people for my old gaming society was 20 - 25 each for the night. Now keeping in mind that if we got 20 people for this, we're all not likely to be using our own console for the night because of the obvious nature of fighting games, might be abit cheaper than when I booked it for Games Soc, since each person booked then had their own console for the night.

Im gonna be vague and say maybe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭Dreddybajs

Made a signups thread here lads:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056335770

Only put down people's names who clearly confirmed that they wanted a place in this thread so far, so if your name isn't down, post a reply in there.

Linoud: Should be cheaper than 20-25 anyway, I'll know the prices better when I have a rough number of people going. It gets cheaper the more people attend.

Could I get a general idea of:
What time to be there for?
    What time does it end?

Are there any other specifics as well I should know?

I think it starts at 10pm or 11pm and ends at 9am or so (from my foggy memory). We can meet up and grab food or a pint or something beforehand, whatever suits people.

edit: Or maybe last time it was 11pm-11am?? I can't remember.

What time does the food court across the street close at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Orim

About 6ish I think. There's loads of other places nearby though if you're worried about food.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,229 ✭✭✭Dreddybajs

Yeah, last time we were there we ordered pizzas to XGC, food isn't a problem.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,302 ✭✭✭Voa

May as well put my name in on it. I'll probably be itching for more once the tournament closes out.

Do we have access to all the consoles with the entry fee or does the hourly rate still apply?
