Salty mineral water - reason for thirst?

I drink lots of S Pellegrino - just because I really like it but at the same time I notice I am constantly thirsty (no health issues - all bloods tested recently).

Someone mentioned that some mineral waters are high in salt and that could be the reason for my thirst. the S Pellegrino is 34mg sodium per litre - I've no idea if that's high or low. Any opinions?

That's 85mg of salt per liter. That means you would need to drink about 70 liters of the stuff each day to reach the recommended maximum daily intake of 6 grams salt. You would be dead from water intoxication long before this would make any difference to your salt levels.

Unless you have specific medical advice about watching your salt intake, you can drink as much mineral water as you want.
