    Is edamame a good snack on a low carb diet? I love it and would have it as a snack every evening if it was good for me. I'm not sure though as the carb content seems slightly high.. Any advise?

    It's fine. It's not the lowest possible veg, but it's got a decent serving of protein in a form that is fresh and unprocessed and comes in a high fiber package.

    Is there any other veg out there that is similar in taste to Edamame? I'm new to eating veggies (well relatively new - in the last 2 years) and I'm always trying to find new and yummy veggie snacks to add to the old diet.

    I'm trying to remember what makes edamame different in taste to any other vegetable.

    You can get creative with garlic, herbs, spices and seasoning to make all sorts of vegetables interesting. Or try combinations. I find lettuce boring, but tear up a few dandelion leaves into your salad and suddenly it has a real kick.

    I've got to admit that right now, I'm eating obscene amounts of sugarsnaps, just straight from the packet. Even my children will eat a bag of those instead of a bag of crisps.
