Continuous assessment marks & repeating an exam?

Hey all, I've got a question about the repeat exams. If you're repeating an exam in a module that's also got a continuous assessment component, are the CA marks taken into account for your result?

In other words, say you're repeating a module that's 50/50 CA and exam, and you got 0 (I didn't do quite that badly, but still) in the CA, are you now going to have to get the near-100% in the exam you'd need to get an overall mark of 40%, or does the repeat exam count for the entire module?

    Thanks for any help. :)

Not certain but I think the repeat exam is going to be worth 100% so you only require 40%. Also no matter what result you get in the repeat i.e. 90% I think your grade will only be 40%. The only person who will know for sure is your lecturer so email him/her.
