Training program advice/GVT

23/m here. Been weight training the last year. I am 83 kg, 6ft tall. I am also a hurler.

For the past 2 months I have cut out leg weights and have only done, plyometric/body weight leg exercises as I found my legs were not being given a chance to recover by the time I had a training session with the team. I continued on upper body weights. Max Bench 1 rep is roughly 85kg.

I mostly do the same program 2-3 times a week( Bench, incline bench, bent over rows, pull ups, inverted rows, shoulder press, arnie press). I know I should change the program to keep my body guessing but I would not know where to start. I am considering German Volume training and have been doing some reading on it but I am worried about not recovering in time for hurling sessions. I have been finding recovery tough the last 2 weeks as I drastically reduced my calorie intake in an effort to get more defined.

Would greatly appreciate some advice guys....
