Fainting....

...Common experience after a session or not?

Had a turn in the gym there this evening.
A good session, (incl personal best bench!) and finished with a moderate bodyweight single leg squat.
Down to changing rooms and felt a bit light headed, into shower and about 2 seconds later thought "if you don't get into the dressing room sharpish you'll smack your head on the tiles" and just about made it back to the benches in changing rooms, slumped in a bit of a heap.

Thanks to the chaps with the lucozade tablets and donations of Lucozade!

    So a question:
    Common experience or not?
What did I do wrong, never had this happen before, especially after a good session.
I didn't eat a lot today, wasn't hungry but still, could have been it.
Or maybe squats after a good session was stupid.

If you're going to do a exercise routine like that you need to make sure you're well hydrated and have a full stomach!.
If it keeps up you might want to get it checked out though.

Squats wouldn't help too much either with the constant up and down movement. Did you feel light headed during them?

I think the lesson to be learned is if you feel faint, wait a few minutes before you get into the shower!

    Never happened to me though.

Yeah I learned that the hard way.

Got half way into the squats and knew I was on half-gas, quit them and headed off to changing room....probably just a poor combination of good session on a half tank of fuel.

And yes, fainting in shower area leaves you eh, well, exposed. :D
