Can anyone recommend a decent acupuncturist in Cork - more for stress relief/relaxation than a sports injury or anything like that. Cheers :) (Apologies if wrong forum)

For stress relief/relaxation I recommend a good long sleep, a good diet and a bit of exercise.

Acupuncture is complete waste of money apart from any placebo affect it might have.

Sorry for my blunt honesty :D

Depends. I personally don't think acupuncture cures anything, but it can be relaxing, you do feel something, just a little pressure from the needle in certain places. It led me to dry needling, kinda like a gateway drug;). Although there are cheaper ways to relax, and if you are going to spend the money a nice massage usually does the trick.

No, I appreciate it! I had acupuncture once before and was in there an hour. Apart from mild tingling I walked out feeling a bit relaxed but that was it. Twenty minutes later I started laughing and didn't stop for what seemed like a half-hour. Found it enormously cathartic. Coincidence? Placebo? Who knows. But I suppose I am keen to try recapture that. Certainly more evidence for sleep, diet and exercise though!

The guy I go to is an Osteopath but he uses acupunture as part of his treatment (I have gone to him for sports injuries).
I can't explain if/how it works but I've had great results and fast recorvery times thanks to his methods.

He has offices in Cobh and Bandon.
His name is Barry White (no, seriously) and you can contact him on white.osteopath@gmail.com or 087 6001907

Cost wise I found him very reasonable but best to contact him for a price.

Can anyone recommend someone from any recent experiences in Cork City Centre. A friend is suffering from Osteoarthritis(Degenerative Arthritis) in her back and is looking for some relief. She has done alot of physio which is not having any effect anymore . Preferable in or around city centre . Any feedback greatly appreciated.
