French From Beginner Level At Any University?

    Hey,
    Does anybody know of any CAO courses that offer French from beginner (''ab initio'') level? I didn't study it for the Leaving Cert unfortunately and every French course seems to require a HC3 or above.

    Don't think there's a HE ab initio course in French offered in Ireland. Most (all?) of the other languages studied to LC are offered but not French? Wonder why?

    The Scottish universities offer ab initio French. Free fees and lower cost of living.
