    Hi folks

So I'm completely addicted to sugar and finding it really hard to wean off it:o
I'm quite thin anyway(5ft 4' and 48/50kgs approx) but would love to eat healthier. I do Pilates once a week, horse riding once a week, 2x3km jogs and walking the dog a bit(maybe 3 times a week-other times are doggy playdates)

Here's my typical day (please criticise/help!)

    Breakfast:
1 bowl of Bran Flakes with full fat milk

    Break:
1 banana and 2 Rich Tea biscuits

    Lunch:
1 Alpro Soy yoghurt, 1 babybel cheese, 2 corn cakes(like rice),1 apple,1 Penguin choccy bar,1 Rich Tea biscuit

    Dinner:
Depends on the day,if busy sometimes i'll just have 2 slices of toast with peanut butter/Nutella or a few Potato Waffles and Veggie Fingers
If not busy, chicken, carrot, mushroom stir fry or spaghetti bolognese or jar of Korma etc with chicken and rice

    Snacks
    Dried Cranberries and nuts
    Rich Tea biscuits

Does anyone have any good tips for getting off this sugar ride such as substitutes etc?

    Many thanks!

All the things that I have highlighted in bold would be items I would be eliminating from my diet if I were you. The reason being that I would classify them as not being real food. They have probably either come in a box, have more than 5 ingredients, I don't recognise some of the ingredients or can't pronounce some of the ingredients.

First off I think you should recognise that changes that actually last are ones which are introduced one at a time. So what you should ultimately be aiming for is to get into the habit on week one of always making yourself a proper dinner. You don't have to make a dinner every night, just make enough so that you have leftovers. Then when that habit is ingrained, change what you eat for breakfast. I would suggest you go for eggs. They are highly nutrious and will keep you full for ages.

Then I would try and get rid of all the biscuits etc and try and eat nuts/fruit instead.

Sounds easy but it is not. Best of luck

What about the corn cakes? They're basically sugar/grains/needless carbs too so I would eliminate them.
