I was a shy, timid little thing and a bit of a loner.

Very well behaved as well. My dad is over 6 foot and I remember thinking he was huuuuuuuge when I was little. I was always scared to piss him off :D

I've thankfully grown out of the shyness and am far from a loner now.

Any real brats on here? :D

I was kind of a big deal. I was very important. My play pen smelled of rich mahogany and leather-bound pop-up books.

No idea where it all went wrong since then mind.

I used to be envious of little brats that got what they wanted. I knew that would never wash with my mum or dad. No chance. I don't think I ever even bothered with tantrums... was a waste of energy :D

Like all AHers, I was a perfectly behaved model of civility, who never made a peep in public, threw a tantrum or spoke until I was spoken to.

The perfect child, you might say ;)

Ah no, I never had tantrums or got what I wanted at all (little money growing up put a quick stop to all that). I was just a menace around the neighborhood.

Got asked to leave a few friends houses (at the age of about 5 or 6) for all sorts of shenanigans like throwing a pitch fork through the shed window and driving a golf ball through the conservatory window.

    I was a cúnt.

I was kinda quiet I suppose, always had one or two close pals - but that was it. I read books, played instruments, did well at school... (beginning to sound like Lisa Simpson here..) and I was into cars. I was never in trouble in school or at home. I waited till later for all that :)

Hahaha. I can just imagine all the parents praying to God their little angels didn't befriend you.

I can just see some kid asking to have a friend round for dinner and then you strut up and the mum is like 'oh ****'.

    No offence meant, mind :D

I think I was a bit of a Lisa Simpson as well. Always borrowing library books, played the clarinet, hung out with the good girls, always did my homework, was a sports 'prefect'.

I was quiet and shy, well behaved in school, had two close friends. I had a mad obsession with death, dead bodies, and ghost stories.

I thought my mother was really tall and thin, she's 5 foot 3:). But I was very small and weedy, ate like a sparrow.

Still a bit shy now, till I get to know ya, and slightly less obsessed with death..

    Why?

I was very stubborn, fought with my parents constantly just for the sake of it. You couldn't shut me up around friends but was shy when I didn't know many people there. I was weird, but took pride in that. I remember once making up my own language and I thought it was the coolest thing ever

I was really quiet as a kid. Was sick a lot when I was younger so I wasn't allowed out as much, spent most of my time holed up in my room reading. Also my older siblings were right troublemakers so I just kept out of the way. I was happy though I liked being on my own and getting lost in my books and drawing and making stuff.

I was so quiet and unsociable, I used to refuse to come downstairs when people were visiting, so my mum just gave up and would leave me to it. Some of my relatives used to wonder if I existed.

Swap girls for boys and that was me! I was a wee bit of a tom-boy as well though. My love of football and cars didn't go down with the girls, nor was I down with their fancy-papers, dolls and skates. Blehhh :pac:

I was pretty shy and loved animals. I still really like animals, but I became incredibly more outgoing as I got older. By the time I was 12, I was impossible to shut up in school, whereas when I was younger, I would have had a heart attack if I'd been given out to for talking.

Oh, I wasn't a tomboy. I remember begging my mum to get me these coloured pens that smelt like fruit so that I could show them off when the new year of school started.

I did organise street 'Olympics' with all the kids - I even made fake medals - and was always winning the 'marathon' :D I was a legendary runner.

I was that small quiet kid that people expected would end up going crazy and come into school and kill everyone.

Aw, trust me, I wasn't cool. I just wanted to be :D

My mum usually said no to everything, too, which is why I remember those pens. Wonder if we are thinking of the same ones :D

Mischevious. Always in trouble for little things in school like playing pranks or talking. Spent many an hour standing outside the Principal's office, eagerly awaiting another lecture.
To the point that once I was once outside his office collecting papers or something and was met with "Ah, Mr FortuneChip, what have you done this time"
    Never in serious trouble though.

Me and my brother were seriously bad, if anything happened you can be sure it was us two.

we look back now and really we were grand it's everyone else who had a problem.

I could wrap my dad around my little finger and played my grandad like a violin. Other than being a talented manipulator, I was quiet and shy. Still am.:)

Really shy and quiet and very well behaved. My parents were very strict and I never had the guts to misbehave. However I probably wouldn't have done so even if they weren't strict.

Looking back on my baby photos from the '70s I was cute, quiet and happy. 35 years on... well, I'm not exactly cute anymore, but as Meatloaf says, two out of three ain't bad.
