Hi - Recently discovered a number of my father's nautical books (he was in the merchant navy from the early 50's to the mid 90's)

Rather than chuck them in the recycle bin I want to know if there a boat club or nautical museum who may find them of interest. Let me know

    All in hardback:

Stevens Elements of Mercantile Law 10 ed - 1938
Nicholls Seamanship and Nautical Knowledge - 1956
    Lloyd's Survey handbook - 1977
Automatic Radar Plotting aids manual (A.G. Bole and KD Jones -1981)
The use of radar at sea 5th ed 1982
Through Mighty Seas - Henry Hughes 1946

I doubt it as they sound like reasonably standard text books for anyone in the MN over the years.

Might be worth sticking them up on ebay or adverts.ie? At least they'd go to a good home.

I'd have thought that the National Maritime College in Ringaskiddy, Cork would be interested.

The RStGYC club in DunLaoighre have a great members library with titles just like these, many of the donated and all well administered by a nominated member. A good home. See their website for a contact number ...
